BCM’s Christmas programme has a long history of helping the most vulnerable members of the local communities. The programme proved to be much needed with people looking for our help every year. In 2015 BCM distributed over 3,070 toy and gift parcels to children and young people and 1,680 food parcels to older people and families who needed them most.
The 'Staircase to Memories' Intergenerational Event brought back a lot of memories and nostalgia. The residents at Kirk House together with Tullycarnet Youth Project created a unique experience for all those who attended the event. The exhibition was impressive with old photographs, posters, documents and memorabilia being displayed, but the Fashion Show was the highlight of the afternoon.
Here is a snapshot of the event for those of you who could not attend it.

Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) have recently signed a partnership agreement with BCM, to arrange a referral system between both organisations to help assist those most at risk of fire.
The aim of the partnership agreement is the provision of housing related support to older people in their own homes. The service seeks to work in partnership with clients and help them to live independently for as long as possible, in a safe living environment.
One of our residents at Kirk House, Sadie, celebrated her 106th Birthday on Monday 26th September. We would like to wish her a Happy Birthday and many more wonderful years to come! Here are some photos taken at the Birthday party at Kirk House. The first photo below presents Sadie with Deputy Lord Lieutenant, Mrs Michele Marken OBE, who presented Sadie with a telegram from the Queen.
