We have already shared a story about the group of young people from Housing Support, Dungannon Project who were handing out warm packs to rough sleepers in Belfast some time ago. This time this amazing group came to Grosvenor Hall to help with serving the food to older people at our Wednesday Lunch Club. What's more, one of the young people brought his guitar and sang a couple of songs, including one that he composed himself.

Well done to everyone and thank you!

On behalf of everybody at Belfast Central Mission we would like to thank all our supporters for yet another year of your invaluable support and involvement in the Christmas Support Programme.

We are really grateful for your commitment and for all the warm words we have heard about BCM.

Thanks to your generosity BCM was able to distribute 3240 toy and gift parcels this year. It is priceless to see the happiness of our service users who turn to us for help at this stressful time of the year.

BCM Housing Support for Older People, Belfast Project is proud to take part in a pilot project of the West Belfast Partnership Board- Winter Support for Older People in West Belfast to trigger emergency support by volunteers for those older people who would be left with no support. The project was launched last week.

Congratulations to our volunteers who were nominated for the Age Friendly Belfast Older Volunteer Recognition Award 2017. The celebration took place on Tuesday in City Hall and all the nominees really enjoyed it. Thank you for all your hard work at the Wednesday Lunch Club and ENGAGES ALL Inter-generational Programme and Volunteer Forum.

We would like to share a couple of photographs taken during the Wednesday Lunch Club's Christmas Dinner last week.

The guests of the Lunch Club were also interviewed that day and the footage was used in the Nolan Show on BBC One NI. If you missed the programme you can watch it here.

We would also like to thank our lovely volunteers who help at the Lunch Club every week.

Thank you.
