BCM welcomes the new Superintendent

In June 2018, staff, volunteers and congregation said a fond farewell to the Superintendent of 11 years, Rev Richard Johnston.  Rev Johnston has moved to pastures new after a challenging and fulfilling time at BCM and Grosvenor Hall congregation.

We were delighted to welcome his successor Rev. David Campton. David is married to Sally and father to 2 sons Owain and Ciaran. He is currently the Superintendent of South and Central Belfast Circuit and Belfast Central Mission. He was born and brought up in East Belfast before leaving Edinburgh to study biology at Edinburgh University and to work as a actor and director in the theatre never intending to return to this conflicted part of the world. Part of his call to ministry however was a strong vocation to return to Ireland “to make a difference" and throughout his 24 year ministry he has been involved in community relations, community development and political engagement at a local and regional level. He is a regular contributor to BBC Radio Ulster’s Thought for the Day and to The Seed online worship resources website (http://www.seedresources.com/). He sporadically writes a blog under the title of Virtual Methodist.
