Worship

BCM was founded in order to reach out to those who had little contact with Christian faith in any form. The leaders quickly realised that worshipping God and caring for people belong together. At times unorthodox methods were used, including meeting in a circus tent and using cinema films to commend Christian faith. Worship, sometimes experimental, is still at the heart of the Mission's activities.

photo of Grosvenor Hall ChurchOn Sundays congregations meet in Sandy Row, Springfield Road and the Grosvenor Hall for worship at 11:00 am. The Grosvenor Hall congregation gathers before the Service for a cuppa at 10:30 am.  Many of the members of the congregations are also BCM volunteers. Each day there is prayer in the Gallagher Chapel, which is part of the Grosvenor House complex. A midweek communion service in the Gallagher Chapel and a monthly service of prayer for healing also form part of our community life.

Our congregational life also involves other activities such as badminton and bowling clubs, study and prayer groups and a branch on Methodist Women in Ireland. Our Mission Statement, which you see at the bottom of this page, sums up our aim.

"A welcoming congregation, celebrating God's love in worship, prayer and action, being open to the prompting of the Holy Spirit to love, serve and offer God's healing to all, irrespective of need or creed."
