Wednesday Lunch Club

Every Wednesday, through September to May, BCM runs a club for approximately 30 older people from the Greater Belfast area. Many older people feel lonely and isolated in their daily lives and the aim of the Club is to provide companionship as well as good food and light entertainment.

"BCM is like a ray of sunshine in my life."

The Club is run by a group of volunteers from the church, who collect the visitors from their homes to bring them to the club, as well as doing the cooking and arranging the entertainment. The highlights of the year are:

• Christmas dinner at Grosvenor House
• A bus run in the spring, for example, to Ballymena, for shopping and lunch.
