Supporting those who need it most

12/11/2009 Lord Mayor enjoys tea for two at Cafe Grosvenor

BCM (Belfast Central Mission) today opened their new and improved Café Grosvenor on Glengall St. The Café is committed to positive social change and all profits go towards the charitable work of BCM which aims to help those most in need in our society. BCM were delighted to welcome Lord Mayor Naomi Long to the opening where she indulged in some of the café’s delicious home cooking.

The Lord Mayor recognised the excellent work carried out by BCM and the contribution which the café would make to its charitable work.

“I wish this venture continued success and applaud the wonderful work being carried out here,” Councillor Long said. “The theme of my term in office is ‘ Belfast without barriers’ where equality of opportunity is available to all. This project is a shining example of how that can be achieved”.

Situated in Belfast City Centre it is the perfect venue for shoppers to enjoy some traditional home cooking at a very reasonable price. Customers can enjoy their food knowing that they are also helping those who need help not just in Belfast but all across .

Manager Lisa Mc Ginley said ‘We are delighted with the new look café. It is fresh, modern and we have worked on the menu so that customers can enjoy not only traditional hot meals but also delicious sandwiches and snacks. We welcome everyone to come and enjoy our food and new look.’
