BCM Autumn Training Courses

BCM Training Services endeavour to assist you in addressing and meeting the challenges of training your staff by providing you with our quality range of courses, or, through bespoke programmes designed, tailored and complemented to meet your needs.

All programmes can be delivered in BCM’s Grosvenor House, or in a venue suitable to your requirements. Our training team will be delighted to meet with you and discuss your specific needs which will allow you to provide organised, timely and effective training for your staff. All our programmes will be adapted to meet your staff training needs.

Aim:To make staff aware of the importance of food safety, and knowledge of the systems, techniques and procedures involved

Objectives:

To ensure staff:

 Understand food safety risks;         

Personal hygiene 

Food storage

Cooking & handling

Have the competence and expertise to deliver food safely

Assessment Multiple choice externally marked examination

 

PROTECTION of VULNERABLE ADULTS

Date: 29th September 2009

Location: Grosvenor House, 5 Glengall St, Belfast

 Aim:To raise awareness on the need to protect Vulnerable Adults, and to ensure all staff are aware of relevant Policies, Procedures and Legislation.

Objectives:

To ensure staff:

 Know who they are safeguarding and how they can protect them

Identify the different types of abuse

Can recognise signs and indicators of abuse

Develop knowledge of organisational policies, procedures and current Legislation on Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups

 

Physical Activities for Children

Date: 6th October 2009

Location: Grosvenor House, 5 Glengall St, Belfast

Aim: To raise the profile of sport and physical activity for all young people and engage those young people aged 7 – 11 not currently participating in sport.

Objectives:By the end of the session participants should be able to:

Describe the aims, ethos and components of TOP Activity

Show how TOP Activity delivery may be fun, safe, inclusive and purposeful

Indicate how TOP Activity may motivate young people to take part in physical activity for life
