BCM Kirk House has been taking part in a pilot 'Connecting Care Homes' Project. The residents and young people from local schools and youth clubs were brought together by Linking Generations Northern Ireland, who are now competing for £50,000 of National Lottery Funding to make the project spread across Northern Ireland. The project connects care homes to their local community through bringing local schools and youth groups together with residents of the care home to complete a range of projects and activities, from arts, fashion, music, crafts and reminiscence.

Twenty-one residents of Kirk House joined the Lord Mayor of Belfast, Alderman Brian Kingston for tea on Monday 13th March. They also enjoyed a tour of the City Hall.
A great day was had by all. Thank you.

We would like to say thank you to "The Belfast Cathedral Sitout" for a generous grant award, which was presented to Liam from BCM's Parent's Support Project in Ards at The Good Samaritans' Service on Sunday 5th February.

We would also like to thank the members of the public who kindly supported the 2016 Cathedral Sitout and enabled the grant awards to be made to so many organisations.

Thanks to your support BCM was able to distribute 3100 toy and gift parcels and 1540 food parcels to children, families and older people this Christmas.

BCM Room Hire will be hosting a Pop-up Coffee Shop to help raise funds for Kirk House - a Residential Care Home in East Belfast managed by BCM.  Funds raised will be used to enhance the outdoor space at the home, giving the residents a homely place to wander through, sit in or even enjoy some gentle gardening activities.  If you're in the area on Tuesday 24 Jan 2017 why not pop in and enjoy a snack while helping others.  Thank you.
