Fundraising for us

Volunteers have played a vital role in the work of BCM since it was founded in 1889.  In 2005 our volunteers were delighted to be awarded The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service and we have also achieved Investing in Volunteers.  You too can be a part of this team of volunteers by organising your own fundraising activity to raise much needed funds for our work. You can make a contribution, however big or small, to improving the lives of vulnerable or isolated people in many areas of Northern Ireland.

If you would like to organise an event to raise funds for us please email the Fundraising Team or call us on 028 9024 1917.

Examples of the type of event you might organise:

... dressing up or down day

Pick a theme e.g. pyjamas, and get your colleagues to make a donation to dress in fancy dress for the day, or try a dressing-down day when you all come to work in your casuals.

... now you see it , now you don’t!

Especially for the men - get sponsored to have your legs / chest / back waxed for charity.

... bake and sell

Bake tray bakes or make home-made sweets, and bring them in to sell to your colleagues for tea breaks; or invite your friends and family to enjoy a tea-time treat
